We are now looking for a Product Design Engineer to BA Outdoor 
You will be part of development teams, and lead and execute technical deliverables throughout the entire development process, with focus on low cost/affordability and sustainability in combination of easy assembly and standardization. 

You will be part of exploring new concepts and innovations connected to life at home and the home furnishing business. 
You will with indirect leadership, lead and coach an engineering team, and ensure that all parameters of democratic design are obtained and that projects are delivered according to set goals from all technical aspects. 
You will also be part of implementing new processes and tools, to support IKEAS long-term direction out from affordability, reach and sustainability. 
You will be connected to outdoor business where you will lead and execute both news projects, and/or be part of improves and product life cycle projects 
Qualifications 
To be able to do this, you need to have a university education within the Engineering field and/or well documented experience from similar positions. 
You need to have a strong drive and interest in technical design and mechanical engineering, and a strong innovation approach that always triggers you to seek innovative solutions and opportunities. 
You need to be able to challenge, empower and coach the teams. 
This role requires effective communication capabilities; therefore, you need to be fluent in English, both spoken and in written. 

You need to have a broad material understanding and good knowledge in IKEAS value chain and categories. 
As a person you need be curious and solution oriented, and you need to have proven and excellent project management capabilities, with special attention to stakeholder management, as well time and risk management

You work together with a vast variety of people through the entire IKEA value chain, with development suppliers and product development centers to support. Social skills and the ability to build strong networks are important to be successful in this role.
