Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.

We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

Indirect Procurement – Category Buyer Digital

We value diversity, and you will be part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as the primary language for written and spoken communication.
This position will be part of our Global Indirect Procurement and belong to the Digital team, which together with our stakeholders, represents the entire company and drives the digital transformation of our company.
To support the transformation, we will grow our team responsible globally for Software, Hardware, and Services procurement. This team manages the full digital scope for all functions of the company, be it High-Performance Clusters for Autonomous Drive, ERP for our Financial Core, Cloud Infrastructure for our Connected Cars, AI for our sustainable factories of the future or the sales and marketing for our online sales journey to name a few. In this role, you will work in a fantastic team with a high level of professionalism, great competence, true team spirit, and an open-minded and inclusive atmosphere.
We are looking for a procurement professional with the right business mindset, together with high ambition, drive, and attitude. Ultimately, it's all about collaborating to create a superior experience for the people who buy and drive a Volvo, as well as our internal organization.

What will you do

-    Lead and support cross-functional sourcing projects including preparation, execution, analysis, negotiation, supplier selection, and contract management
-    Develop and implement category- and supplier strategies
-    Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders
-    Work proactively with key business stakeholders to understand your product/service, its market, supply base, and potential innovation to find ways to increase value for Volvo Cars - including cost, quality, and sustainability
-    Dare to question status quo or decided routes with stakeholders, suppliers, people; and work proactively to build a better understanding and work towards common solutions
-    There will be some need for business travel.

Do you fit the profile?

You enjoy working in a team and you like to have fun at work. Complex environments are something you thrive in, where you skillfully balance the interests of many while not losing focus on deliveries. You love creating from scratch and prefer to throw yourself in rather than sit and wait for your turn. You plan, prioritize and structure your work to achieve goals.
You have experience doing business in an international environment with global suppliers, where strong business acumen is a prerequisite
You have a university degree or equivalent experience, and automotive experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
