You will be part of the global product group HVDC within the business unit Grid Integration in Hitachi Energy. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Your responsibilities
You will manage a team of highly skilled Bid & Proposals Managers located in Sweden, Germany and UK, who lead large multifunctional tender teams
You will be part of the Bid & Proposal Management team where, among others, the market situation, resources and HVDC tenders on a global scale will be regularly discussed and planned for.
Together with the Bid& Proposal Management team, you will craft the Bid& Proposal’s overall strategy in line with the HVDC Strategy and assure it is communicated to your team, implemented and fulfilled.
Our projects have extensive international coverage, which means that you and your team will have frequent contacts with colleagues, external partners as well as clients across Europe.
You will be working closely with the business unit Grid Integration’s regional Sales Managers in Europe to support your team in implementing the agreed Sales strategy and will be actively involved in strategical decisions made in each tender.
Through different review cycles, you will be responsible to make sure the HVDC Tender Process is followed by your personnel in each tender, and the overall tender quality is assured.
You are to be living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your personnel, colleagues and the business.
Your background
Experience of managing people preferably in international environments
It is a merit to have experience of project/and or tender management of complex large-scale projects and large-scale system sales and tendering.
Leadership skills since you are managing a group of HVDC Bid& Proposal managers in a highly professional and international environment.
You are used to handle many tasks simultaneously and to work structured and methodically.
You are communicative and outgoing, especially since the position entails interaction with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external across all organizational levels.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required. Knowing Swedish language is a merit.
