Our Department, Vehicle Software-R&D within Digital and IT has the accountability to support all development areas (R&D) withing Volvo Group with digital solutions and applications.
We are now recruiting two CICD engineers for our amazing highly skilled CI/CD team. Our team is a fledgling platform and enablement team. We maintain (and help developers at R&D to maintain their instances of) various services and applications. We also help developers use these in smarter/better ways by providing guidance and support. Notable services include JFrog Artifactory, GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, ELK, etc.
Ultimately, our goal is to understand and anticipate developer needs within Volvo Groups different R&D areas, supply them with a platform of tools they need, and guide users to use those tools to their full potential. To that end, we're looking to improve the way we work as a team, how we interface with the developers depending on us and how we provide/maintain the platform to make it a better experience for all involved.
Responsibilities:
We do all work in close collaboration with each other and openly share to create psychological safety.
We pull from our backlog based on prioritization from the PO/DPO in alignment with stakeholders and architects.
We collaborate to ensure the right functionality is being developed.
We understand the product, the need it serves and the users that are using it.
We estimate the size and complexity of the work to be able to plan the upcoming PIs.
We determine and maintain the technical design/development in our area to be aligned to the POs/DPOs roadmap.
We commit to the work we plan to accomplish in the upcoming PI and take needed actions to succeed.
We are accountable to fulfill our definition of done for a feature and we make sure the Definition is written with the stakeholder
We own the whole life cycle design, develop, test, and deploy in our product.
We communicate internally and externally to create transparency and visualize our commitments/results for success.
We share our knowledge and best practices within our team as well with other teams.
We provide ideas and take ownership of the “HOW” as we would strive for being the experts.
We commit to continues improvement in our skills with growth mindset.
We strive for a cross functional, T shaped team setup to deliver on our product.
We commit to quality and security of our product and continuously work to improve.
Qualifications:
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Communication, transparency, growth mindset and open for innovation
Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
Passion for DevOps, way of working, automation, continuous improvements, and a strong sense of team collaboration.
Script writing (languages are irrelevant)
Ability to interpret and write source code (languages are irrelevant)
Experience in working with 'code quality and compliance', (ISO 26262 requirements)
Management of infrastructure assets (networks, servers, operating systems, DBs)
Installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring CI/CD pipeline tools, monitoring software security pipeline tools, cloud computing platforms. large scale data processing tools.
Create and maintain fully automated CI build processes.
Knowledge in JFrog Artifactory, GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, ELK, etc.
Security knowledge
Cloud/Azure knowledge
Experience with JIRA, confluence is a plus
